Welcome to the Rotary Cocktail Club of Macedon Ranges

It is Rotary with a difference, making a difference. We are a refreshing and dynamic new style Rotary Club, already well engaged in service projects.
Project Ready Gisborne Secondary College
On Wednesday 15th July, the club handed out care packs to a number of Gisborne Secondary College students who are studying a Certificate II in Active Volunteering, whilst doing their regular studies AND all this during COVID-19 and remote learning.
So we wanted them to know we really appreciate their effort and rewarded them with a little gift.

Help our Aussie wildlife

On the 15th February the club held a fundraiser at the Hamilton Street Vetinary Clinic. Due to the devastateng affect recent bushfires have had at wildlife across many communities, the club decided to raise funds dor both the RSPCA and our local Cooper Animals Refuge. Funds were raised through ticket sales for a wildlife talk by a local animal rescuer and a sausage sizzle.

This fundraiser is helping our animals both locally and nationally, especially those who have been affected by fires in regions across Victoria.

As Rotary is a volunteer organisation, 100% of tickets sales/donations will be split between Cooper's Animal Refuge based in the Macedon Ranges and the RSPCA.
International Maternal and Infant Health Project
In Australia, we are so lucky to say it seems almost inconceivable that every four hours a woman will die due to pregnancy-related causes.

Yet in Nepal 2019 for mothers and their babies, this is the day to day reality.

In  May 2019 a number of Club members together with Maternal and Infant Health professionals took part in a Rotary scoping study in Nepal, to establish the feasibility of a comprehensive longer term Maternal and Infant Health (M.I.H) Program aimed at rolling out Child Birth Education within the education, health and community sectors.

The overall objective of the M.I.H program is to save the lives of mothers and babies, there for reducing maternal and infant mortality and morbidity, which will be done through Child Birth Education combined with Emergency Obstetric Management Skills training and education.

The aim of the project

  1. help save lives,

  2. save money and

  3. empower women and children.

Change your community with us by volunteering on a local project.
