Welcome to the Rotary Cocktail Club of Macedon Ranges

Help our Aussie wildlife
On the 15th February the club held a fundraiser at the Hamilton Street Vetinary Clinic. Due to the devastateng affect recent bushfires have had at wildlife across many communities, the club decided to raise funds dor both the RSPCA and our local Cooper Animals Refuge. Funds were raised through ticket sales for a wildlife talk by a local animal rescuer and a sausage sizzle.
This fundraiser is helping our animals both locally and nationally, especially those who have been affected by fires in regions across Victoria.
Yet in Nepal 2019 for mothers and their babies, this is the day to day reality.
In May 2019 a number of Club members together with Maternal and Infant Health professionals took part in a Rotary scoping study in Nepal, to establish the feasibility of a comprehensive longer term Maternal and Infant Health (M.I.H) Program aimed at rolling out Child Birth Education within the education, health and community sectors.
The overall objective of the M.I.H program is to save the lives of mothers and babies, there for reducing maternal and infant mortality and morbidity, which will be done through Child Birth Education combined with Emergency Obstetric Management Skills training and education.
The aim of the project
-
help save lives,
-
save money and
-
empower women and children.
